You know you're the mother of a one-year-old when...

...you plan a nap for yourself a week in advance.

...on the way out the door to go to work you notice a blueberry stain on your pants, but you don't care because you're just excited that you made it out of house on time.

...in addition to dusting, vacuuming and cleaning toilets, cleaning the house now includes scrubbing food off the walls.

...when looking in the mirror to put your make-up on you have to look through a variety of fingerprints and smudges where your child has licked the mirror.

...your grocery list always includes one of the following: diapers, milk, wipes, Tylenol or wine (just kidding about the wine :)

...you have to visit the place where you bought your glasses once a month so they will straighten them for you since they get pulled off your face or stepped on weekly.

...when your child wakes up from his nap or when you first get home, you race around the house closing toilet lids, hiding remotes (and other items that are off limits) and closing doors to rooms that are off limits.

...you look forward to using your steam mop!

...there's nothing better than a date night with your husband!

...you find Goldfish crumbs in the bottom of your purse and Cheerios in your shoes.

...you have every children's book in your house memorized.

...you enjoy going ANYWHERE by yourself.

...you ask yourself a million questions on a daily basis: Does he feel loved? Am I spoiling him? Does he have enough limits, but enough freedom to learn and make mistakes? Is he getting enough to eat? Is he getting enough sleep? Am I spending enough time with him? etc...

...you've never loved someone so much in your life!
